Everything you need to know about DataZone, MTN verification, pricing, delivery and reselling

MTN numbers are checked against our available gateway databases before processing. This helps us determine whether a number is currently eligible for MTN data delivery.

✅ Verified (Eligible): If your number is available on one of our gateways, it is considered eligible and can be processed normally.

⚠️ New Numbers: If your number does not match any available gateway, it is treated as a new number. You can submit the number for verification, and we will work to have it verified within 5 days.

Our gateway databases are continuously updated. A number that is not currently available may become available after additional verification.

If a new number cannot be added: The order will be cancelled and the full amount refunded to your System Wallet. Your wallet balance can then be used to purchase MTN verified numbers, TELECEL, AT, Bulk SMS, Gift Cards and other available digital products.

🚀 TELECEL, AT & Bulk SMS do not require number verification and are delivered normally.

We use 3 upstream gateway channels to increase the number of MTN numbers we can successfully process.

Each gateway has its own database of eligible numbers. By combining Gateway 1, Gateway 2 and Gateway 3, we have access to one of the largest combined databases available to our system.

This allows us to process the majority of MTN numbers. If one gateway cannot process a number, another gateway may be able to process it.

Most MTN orders can be processed through our lower-cost Gateway 1 or Gateway 2, so your normal role price remains unchanged.

However, some numbers may currently be available only through Gateway 3, which costs ₵4.15/GB.

If your normal price is below ₵4.15/GB and the order can only be processed through Gateway 3, the price will be adjusted to ₵4.15/GB and the difference will be billed to your account.

Example for a 10GB order:

  • ₵3.70/GB → Normal price: ₵37.00
  • Gateway 3 price: ₵41.50
  • Additional charge: ₵4.50

The additional charge depends on the size of the order.

No. Being processed through Gateway 3 today does not mean that all future orders for the same number will use Gateway 3.

Our gateway databases are continuously updated. Usually, within 1–5 days, Gateway 1 and/or Gateway 2 may add the number to their databases.

Once the number becomes available on Gateway 1 or Gateway 2:

  • ✅ Future orders can be processed through Gateway 1 or 2
  • ✅ Your normal role price will apply
  • ✅ No additional Gateway 3 charge will apply

Delivery time depends on the network and bundle size:

  • 📡 AirtelTigo (AT): Instant delivery
  • 📶 TELECEL 10GB and above: Instant delivery
  • 📶 TELECEL 5GB: May experience some delay
  • 📱 MTN: Usually within 1–30 minutes, depending on gateway processing

In some situations, network or gateway conditions may cause additional delays.

Note: An order showing "Processing" does not always mean that the data has not been delivered. In some cases, the data may have already been sent while the order status is still updating.

If an order remains in processing for an extended period, confirm with the recipient first before contacting support.

There are two main ways to make money with DataZone:

Option 1: Buy & Resell

Buy data at your DataZone account price and resell it to your customers at a price you choose.

  • 📱 Starter users can buy MTN 1GB from around GH₵4.15
  • 💎 Higher-level users can enjoy lower rates depending on their account level
  • 💵 Set your own selling price and keep the difference as profit

For example, if your cost is GH₵4.15 and you sell 1GB for GH₵5.00, your gross profit is GH₵0.85.

Option 2: Sleep While You Earn

Create your own branded DataZone Market Shop, set your selling prices and share your shop link with customers.

  • 🛒 Customers order directly from your shop
  • ⚡ Orders are processed automatically
  • 💰 Your profit is credited to your account
  • 💳 Withdraw your profit to Mobile Money or convert it to your DataZone Wallet

DataZone is your main account platform where you can buy data at your account-level pricing and manage your wallet, orders and reseller activities.

DataZone Market allows you to create a branded shop where your customers can purchase directly from you.

DataZone generally provides better pricing for account users, while DataZone Market is designed for selling directly to customers.

If your customer simply wants you to buy data on their behalf, it is usually better to use your main DataZone account.

Since your DataZone account may have lower pricing based on your role, you can purchase the data at the lower rate and then charge your customer your own selling price. This gives you more room for profit.

Think of your DataZone account as your private buying channel for customers who ask you to purchase on their behalf.

If your customer wants a website or link where they can place the order themselves, share your DataZone Market Shop Link.

This gives you two selling options:

  • 🤝 Customer asks you to buy: Use DataZone and keep your profit margin.
  • 🛒 Customer wants to order themselves: Send them your DataZone Market Shop Link.

DataZone Market customers are guest buyers. When a customer pays for an order through your shop, we cannot go back to the customer and request an additional payment if their number can only be processed through Gateway 3.

Gateway 3 currently costs ₵4.15/GB. Therefore, DataZone Market MTN prices cannot safely be set below this rate.

This protects your shop from situations where a customer pays one amount but the order requires a higher processing cost.

This gives you better pricing on the Market platform and allows you to maintain a stronger profit margin when selling to customers.

Your shop handles the customer-facing sales process while DataZone processes the orders automatically.

We support several payment methods depending on the purchase channel:

Wallet balance can be used for faster purchases without making a new payment for every transaction.

If a new MTN number cannot be added to any available gateway, the order will be cancelled and the full amount refunded to your System Wallet.

The refunded balance does not expire and can be used to purchase other available products such as verified MTN bundles, TELECEL, AT, Bulk SMS, Gift Cards and other digital products.

No. There is no minimum order amount. You can purchase the bundle size that suits your needs.

Resellers can also increase their total purchase volume to qualify for better account pricing where applicable.
